How do I purchase the Tribune Dollars Financial Aid meal plan?

The Tribune Dollars Financial Aid meal plan can be purchased on the Brighton campus at the MCC Association, Inc. Service Desk and at Damon College at the Financial Aid Service Desk at the beginning of the Fall and Spring semesters. A list of dates and times will be listed on the website and posted on flyers around campus.

What is the difference between the Sodexo Flex Dollars meal plan and the Tribune Dollars Financial Aid meal plan?

Any student can buy a Sodexo Flex Dollars meal plan. There is no limit on the amount of funds you can put on your card and you can add additional funds at any time. Dollars will roll over from the Fall to the Spring semester. The Tribune Dollars Financial Aid Meal Plan is available to purchase at the beginning of the Fall and Spring semesters and can only be purchased by students with a financial aid credit on their account after tuition, fees, books and housing payments have been made. It has a limit of $300 each semester and funds do not roll over from the Fall to the Spring semester.

Do my balances roll over from the Fall to the Spring semester?

Sodexo Flex Dollar meal plan balances do roll over from Fall to Spring. Tribune Dollar Financial Aid meal plan balances do not roll over from Fall to Spring.

Where can I find menu information and hours of operation?

Menus and hours of operation are posted on the Dining Choices page.

Where can I use my meal plan?

Meal plans can be used at all Sodexo Dining locations, including the Marketplace and Gilman Lounge on the Brighton Campus and at the Center City Café on the Damon campus. Meal plans are not accepted at Java’s or Café Sorelle.

Can I use book store credit to purchase meals?

Unfortunately, book store credit cannot be used at dining services locations.

Important Info

All Meal Plans are Non-Refundable

If you lose your ID card you must inform Dining Services immediately so your account can be put on hold until you aquire a new ID card. 

  • All Meal Plans are tax exempt which is a 8% savings at the register. 
  • Remember that MCC ID Cards are non-transferable. 
  • MCC ID Cards cannot be used by anyone but the purchaser.
